Garnet - January's Deep Red Birthstone

I have always loved Garnets for their deep red essence. They are chosen to be January’s birthstone, and I think their representation of security, confidence, trust, protection, love, friendship and courage make them the perfect stone to kick off 2025.
A stone worn since ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans as a symbol of life and renewal, the Garnet continues to be one full of hope. The name itself came from Latin - "Garnet" is derived from "Granatus", which translates into "Pomegranate." Makes sense as the juicy seeds of the fruit look just the same color.
I have been busy designing and producing new pieces with Garnets and other Gems to layer into my current Ombre Gem collection. Here’s a taste - New - Threader Earrings & Ear Cuffs, along with new necklaces, bracelets and earrings to come in Sterling Silver and 18k Gold Vermeil, as well as other fine pieces I am debuting in 14k Gold.
I love to pair Garnet with Citrine; the ombre effect you can achieve with different shades of orange together with red truly embodies nature's flame. My Ophelia Four Stone Pendant captures this essence:
as does my Bella Twelve Gemstone Bangle:
Of course these go perfectly with the Threaders at the top, as well as my hoops, studs, and NEW Ear Cuffs, all available in Garnet or Citrine, as well as other gemstone colors.Â
The main thing is to enjoy the versatility of Garnets. A more affordable red gemstone than rubies, they can be dressed up or down and look just as regal or striking.
