Early Years

Amy cultivated her artistry as a young girl, dancing around in treasures from her mother's jewelry box, asking questions about each piece. Her entrepreneurial spirit emerged when she made and sold beaded ribbon barrettes in the 80s.

Growing up, Amy savored trips with her mom to NYC, where they combed gift and jewelry shows at the Jacob Javits Center, to stock up their Temple's gift shop.

Creative Development

100% handmade soap bar

Amy's creativity developed through studying and performing theater and multiple dance styles at Duke University in Durham, N.C. and abroad at the University of Bristol, England. Passion for the arts, culture and expression culminated in earning a B.A. in English, Minor in Drama and Dance Certificate.

Amy, né Zornitzer, published research on Loïe Fuller and the Futurist Movement in Dance Chronicle. Her fascination with the shape of energy in movement translates into the grace and proportion of the jewelry she now crafts.

Amy's career evolved into fashion when she had the privilege of interviewing the late Oscar de la Renta and Kate Spade, as Editor of Belk stores' View Magazine in Charlotte, N.C.

Structure and Construction

Architecture and construction later inspired Amy's design perspective through years of working in NYC as a marketing executive for some of the city's top luxury real estate firms and luxury developments.

Creative Voice

Motherhood reconnected Amy with her own creative voice. Honing her lifelong obsession with collecting and reworking talismans into an advanced jewelry practice beginning in 2012, she acquired a breadth of fabrication skills, studying at 92Y School of the Arts and with Boris Goynatsky, BG Art Jewelry Atelier on 48th Street in NYC's Jewelry District. Amy personally does the soldering, fusing, forging, wax carving, texturing, beading, finishing and stone setting for the original design of her pieces. Always learning and applying new techniques, Amy Delson Jewelry continues to evolve.

Amy is a proud affiliate of Made in NYC and is a member of the Women's Jewelry Association and the Accessories Council. Amy and her husband Daniel work and live in Manhattan with their two sons, Samson and Helix.
