November Birthstone Focus: Citrine and Topaz

November is a lucky month with two known gemstones to represent: Citrine and Topaz. These gorgeous yet accessible gems feature highly in my new Ombré Opulence Collection. I love them for how many color variations you can find in these stones.

CITRINE

Named after the Latin root for “lemon,” Citrine can be found in sunny yellow to deep orange tones. It is known to embody happiness, vitality, and creativity. Wearing this gemstone helps shoo away negative energy. A form of healing quartz, this gem’s deep warm shades remind me of Autumn, and so perfectly capture the essence of November babies. According to Feng Shui tradition, wearing Citrine brings abundance and wealth. In my designs I punctuate the orange tones with a red Garnet accent.

TOPAZ

Topaz can take on the form of colorless to shades of blue, green, and pink. This stone is a silicate mineral, and is known to symbolize friendship, love, and affection. It also represents intelligence and can bring abundance and relaxation. In my collection, I use London Blue Topaz, Swiss Blue Topaz, and Sky Blue Topaz to achieve the right gradation of color. I’ve topped them with a purple Amethyst for a pop.
